MetaRacers – Blockchain-Based Metaverse Racing Game

Project Overview

MetaRacers is a block chain-powered metaverse racing game developed by App Vertices, designed to deliver competitive multiplayer gameplay with true digital asset ownership. The platform allows players to participate in high-speed races, customize their vehicles, and trade unique in-game racing assets within an immersive virtual ecosystem. 

From the beginning, the project was built to combine fast, skill-based racing mechanics with Web3 functionality, giving players both an engaging gameplay experience and meaningful ownership of their virtual vehicles and upgrades. 

The Challenge

Our Solution

App Vertices developed a high-speed metaverse racing platform using Unreal Engine to deliver immersive environments, realistic vehicle handling, and optimized gameplay physics. 

To support live competition, the team implemented real-time multiplayer synchronization using Photon Server, ensuring accurate race updates, responsive controls, and fair player interaction throughout every match. 

On the Web3 side, Ethereum-based blockchain integration and Solidity smart contracts were used to power NFT vehicle ownership, upgrades, and secure digital asset trading. This allowed players to truly own their racing assets while enjoying seamless in-game performance. 

A scalable backend powered by Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS supported player data, competitive rankings, marketplace transactions, and race session management. Meanwhile, high-quality 3D assets and vehicle designs were created using Maya to enhance the visual depth of the metaverse racing experience. 

This combination of real-time game engineering and blockchain infrastructure enabled App Vertices to deliver a racing ecosystem that was both technically advanced and highly engaging for players.
