ATX FleetFlow – Custom Fleet & Delivery Management Solution for an Austin Logistics Company

Client Background

A mid-sized logistics company operating across the Austin–Round Rock corridor needed a better way to manage daily fleet operations. Their dispatch workflow relied on spreadsheets and phone calls, while drivers reported delays manually — resulting in inconsistent updates, reactive decision-making, and missed delivery targets.

They required a centralized, real-time system to improve dispatch coordination and delivery performance across the Austin metro area.

Project Objective

The goal was to design and develop a mobile-first fleet management solution that:

  • Provides real-time visibility into vehicle locations and delivery progress.
  • Improves routing efficiency using optimization logic.
  • Streamlines driver task assignment and dispatch coordination.
  • Automates delivery confirmations to reduce manual reporting.
  • Centralizes fleet and warehouse data into one operational dashboard.

Project Solution

App Vertices developed ATX FleetFlow as a mobile-first fleet and delivery management platform built for speed, visibility, and operational control. We implemented live tracking and route optimization to reduce inefficiencies, while creating a real-time dispatch dashboard for proactive coordination.

The system was integrated with the client’s existing warehouse and cloud infrastructure to synchronize operational data and reduce fragmented workflows.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React Native (Cross-Platform Mobile App)
  • Backend: Node.js with Express.js
  • Database: PostgreSQL / MongoDB (Operational + Tracking Data Storage)
  • Maps & GPS Tracking: Google Maps API + Location Services
  • Real-Time Updates: Socket.io / WebSockets
  • Hosting & Deployment: AWS Cloud Infrastructure

Main Features of the App

  • Live GPS Vehicle Tracking: Real-time fleet visibility across routes and zones.
  • Route Optimization Algorithms: Smarter routing based on efficiency and delivery scheduling.
  • Driver Task Assignment: Dispatch-controlled delivery task distribution.
  • Automated Delivery Confirmation: Proof-of-delivery workflows to reduce manual reporting.
  • Real-Time Dispatch Dashboard: Centralized view of drivers, tasks, and delivery statuses.
  • Warehouse + Cloud Integrations: Unified operational data across systems.

Results

ATX FleetFlow gave the logistics company real-time control over fleet operations across the Austin metro area. Dispatch teams shifted from reactive coordination to proactive optimization, improving delivery reliability and reducing operational costs.
