A Texas-based private healthcare provider approached App Vertices to rebuild their existing mobile app. Patient feedback revealed major usability issues: a cluttered design, frequent crashes, and poor responsiveness across devices. The Challenge

The main challenge for our team was to unify all key healthcare services—appointments, consultations, and health records—into a clean, user-friendly design without overwhelming the interface. 

We also needed to ensure a responsive and consistent experience across iOS and Android devices, regardless of screen size or resolution. 

Another complexity was the app’s usage scenarios. Connect Doc had to perform flawlessly whether patients were scheduling a routine visit, accessing emergency information, or navigating with accessibility needs. Our approach was to create a design that worked seamlessly for every context and user demographic. 

Our Solution

App Vertices led a full redesign and redevelopment of Connect Doc, building a cross-platform app that is simple, fast, and engaging for users of all age groups—especially patients over 30. 

The new interface offers: 

  • Doctor Profiles with detailed information. 
  • Integrated Calendar Sync for appointments. 
  • Digital Health Records with easy navigation. 

The app was tested extensively on major devices, including Apple, Samsung, Google Pixel, and Motorola, to ensure smooth performance across platforms. 

User Flow Research

Our UX team conducted in-depth research to map how patients interact with healthcare apps. This informed a design that includes features like secure video consultations, appointment scheduling, integrated payments, and HIPAA-compliant health record storage with strong encryption and optional two-factor authentication. 

Revised Design System

We implemented a modern design language focused on clarity and accessibility, with updated icons, color schemes, and layouts that align with patient expectations. Feedback-driven adjustments resulted in an interface that is both visually appealing and practical for healthcare interactions.

Low-Fidelity Design

During the initial design phase, we created wireframes and prototypes to test different layouts and workflows.
